Hanged Empress
you suddenly remember
while hanging in air in space
the original rope was umbilical
that to be bound is more natural than not
this gap between now and your childhood
was for too long severe until bamboo
overhead helped unfold and establish
green trees flowering wheat flowing streams
flying birds flames around your head
an Empress dressed in a luscious emerald-green
velvet robe with three floating cranes over head
your hand relaxes as if gently gripping
a glowing scepter Venus’ symbol
emblazoned on a shield at your feet
as you feel elegant and protected
under the seduction of rope of desire
in the darkness of winter
in the warmth of my tendrils
in the supernatural impregnation
and cocooning threads of all-life
